Action taken: The remedial investigation (RI) began in 2007. In 2014, PCE in groundwater ranged from 1.0 microgram per liter (μg/L) to 2,100 μg/L. In February 2015, five groundwater wells and four soil vapor wells were installed to further characterize the PCE plume. In April 2015, PCE in SV ranged from 1,600 micrograms per cubic meter (μg/m³) to 1,300,000 μg/m³ at depths of 30 to 35 feet below ground surface. A soil vapor extraction (SVE) system was designed in late 2015.

Status: The site is in the remedial investigation (RI) phase. As part of an early response action (ERA), in July 2016, the SVE system began treating the soil vapor in the area of 24th Street and Thomas. Two new groundwater monitoring wells were installed in May 2018 and groundwater sampling will occur in August of 2018.
