This approval is for ensuring that sanitary facilities are available when a person intends to sell lots within a subdivision. The approval may be for sewered lots, lots where on-site systems may be installed and dry lots (without drink water lines available). In many cases, this approval application is submitted at the same time as applications for drinking water and sewer permits. This approval is valid indefinitely.
