PUBLIC NOTICE | Proposed Type IV Amendment to Cerbat Landfill in Mohave County
ADEQ has received an application for a Type IV change to the solid waste facility plan from Mohave County, for the Cerbat Landfill. The Type IV change proposes a vertical and lateral expansion for an additional disposal volume of approximately 2.7 million cubic yards of airspace.
Landfill Location
7300 Mineral Park Road
Golden Valley, AZ 86413
Information
The Cerbat Landfill is a 320-acre municipal solid waste landfill that has been in operation since 1989. The Type IV change proposes a vertical expansion of 52 feet, which corresponds to a total height of 154 feet above original ground elevation, and a lateral expansion consisting of a new municipal waste cell, Cell 6, of approximately 8.4 acres. The capacity of proposed lateral expansion plus the vertical expansion will provide an additional disposal volume of approximately 2.7 million cubic yards of airspace. The installation of one additional groundwater monitoring well is proposed as part of the construction of Cell 6.
