On June 28, 2023, the public comment period begins for the proposed closure of a leaking underground storage tank (UST) case at Former Thriftway #193/ Speedway Store # 2999 in Navajo County, Arizona. The comment period ends July 28, 2023.

Public Notice Information

Arizona regulations allow case closure on leaking UST sites with groundwater contamination at levels above the Arizona Aquifer Water Quality Standards or Tier 1 Corrective Action Standards if it can be demonstrated that there is no exposure risk to public health and any remaining contamination is attenuating. We evaluated site specific conditions and analytical data provided for this site. Based on this review, we have determined that the case meets the regulatory requirements for closure.
