On May 25, 2022, the public comment period begins for the proposal to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) Renewal Permit to Valle Airpark, LLC. for the Valle Airpark Wastewater Reclamation Facility located in Coconino County, Arizona. The comment period ends June 27, 2022.

ADEQ proposes to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) renewal permit to discharge pollutants to Protected Surface Waters to the following applicant, subject to certain effluent limitations and special conditions:

Valle Airpark Wastewater Reclamation Facility (WWRF)
Approximately 28 miles north of Williams, in Valle at Valle Airpark

Valle Airpark, LLC. applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up to 0.045 gallons per day (mgd) of treated domestic wastewater from the Valle Airpark WWRF to an unnamed wash tributary to Spring Valley wash, tributary to Cataract Creek in the Colorado – Grand Canyon River Basin in Township 26 N, Range 02 W, Section 11, in Coconino County, Arizona. The Valle Airpark WWRF is a privately-owned treatment works that receives domestic wastewater from airport and local community in Valle at Valle Airpark. Sludge is pumped from the four sludge drying bins by a licensed contractor and hauled to a licensed solid waste management landfill.
