COMMENT PERIOD BEGINS | New Aquifer Protection Permit for Cactus Landfill in Pinal County

On Thursday, June 2, 2022, the public comment period begins for the proposed new Aquifer Protection Permit (APP) to Cactus Waste Systems, LLC, for the Cactus Landfill located in Pinal County, Arizona. The comment period ends July 1, 2022.

The Cactus Landfill is an active municipal solid waste landfill. This new Aquifer Protection Permit allows Cactus Waste Systems, LLC to construct and operate two surface impoundments for the disposal and evaporation of landfill leachate and condensate at the Cactus Landfill.
