Green Schools are environmentally healthy schools. They provide healthy, comfortable, energy efficient, resource efficient, water efficient, and safe environments for our children. Because of their reduced environmental impact, they are good environmental citizens. The schools are also easy to operate and maintain. Benefits of a Green School
Healthy - Good indoor air quality is essential. The time students and teachers spend inside schools, combined with children's vulnerability to indoor pollutants, underscores the importance of high indoor environmental quality. A properly designed heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system minimizes the intake and circulation of pollutants by providing air filtration, ventilation, and air changes.
