VIRTUAL STAKEHOLDER MEETING | Financing ADEQ’s Monitoring Assistance Program

ADEQ is holding a virtual meeting to discuss a draft plan to support the Monitoring Assistance Program (MAP) despite a projected budget deficit by Fiscal Year 2026.

Date: Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024
Time: 2 p.m.
Location: Online | Register via GoToWebinar >
After completing the registration, you will receive a confirmation email containing information on how to join the webinar.

Background

MAP has not undergone a fee change since 2001, and the escalating costs of sampling and analysis, coupled with preparations for the inclusion of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contaminants as a required MAP sample upon the enactment of the Environmental Protection Agency’s PFAS Maximum Contaminant Level in 2024, have contributed to the projected deficit.

In response to the input received, we have developed and want to share with those impacted a draft plan preserving this program which is critical to Arizona’s small public water systems and their customers.
