On April 4, 2024, the comment period begins for the proposal to issue a renewal Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) permit to the City of Casa Grande for their water reclamation facility located in Pinal County, Arizona. The comment period ends May 6, 2024.

The City of Casa Grande applied for a renewal permit for the proposed discharge of up to 14 million gallons per day (mgd) of treated domestic wastewater from the City of Casa Grande Water Reclamation Facility to the Santa Cruz Wash and the North Branch of the Santa Cruz Wash in Pinal County, Arizona. The facility is a publicly owned treatment works that receives domestic wastewater from residential, commercial, and industrial sources in Casa Grande. Sludge is sent to the City of Casa Grande Landfill for disposal.
