NOTICE OF PRELIMINARY DECISION TO ISSUE:  An Aquifer Protection Permit

Notice Read the Following: Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code, Title 18, Chapter 9, Article 1, the Director of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality intends to issue an Individual Aquifer Protection Permit (APP) to the following applicant(s):

Facility Name: St. Johns Gas Unit (Stimulated Carbon dioxide Wells)
Individual Aquifer Protection Permit No. 511308

Permittee: 
Kinder Morgan CO2 Company, L.P.

Facility Location: Kinder Morgan CO2 Company, L.P. - St. Johns Gas Unit located southeast of the City of St. Johns, in Apache County, over groundwater of the Little Colorado River Plateau Basin, in Townships 9, 10, and 11 North, Range 29, 30, 31 and 32 East, Sections 3, 6, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 30, Gila and Salt River Base Line and Meridian.

Persons may submit comments or request a public hearing on the proposed action in writing to:

All written comments received by ADEQ by the close of business on July 24, 2016 to be considered in the final permit decision. A public hearing request must be in writing and must include the reasons for such request.
