Notice: Pursuant to the Clean Water Act and in accordance with Arizona Administrative Code (AAC) R18-9-A907, the Director of ADEQ proposes to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) Renewal Permit to discharge pollutants to Waters of the United States to the following applicant, subject to certain effluent limitations and special conditions:

Agua Nueva Water Reclamation Facility (WRF)
Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up to 35.2 million gallons per day (mgd) of treated domestic wastewater to the Santa Cruz River in the Santa Cruz River Basin in Township 13S, Range 13E, Section 21, in Pima County, Ariz. Sludge from Agua Nueva WRF is sent to the Tres Rios WRF for further treatment and disposal.
