ADEQ proposes to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) renewal permit to discharge pollutants to Waters of the United States to the following applicant, subject to certain effluent limitations and special conditions:

Facility Information
The U.S. Department of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up 0.061 million gallons per day (mgd) of treated domestic wastewater and filter backwash water from the Hoover Dam Wastewater and Water Treatment Plants to the Colorado River in the Colorado-Lower Gila River Basin in Township 30 N, Range 23 W, Section 3, in Mohave County, Arizona. The Hoover Dam Wastewater and Water Treatment Plants are federally-owned treatment works and water treatment plant in Boulder City, Nevada. Sludge is stored in a holding tank before being transferred to sludge drying beds or evaporation ponds for long term storage/disposal.
