Forecast Discussion:

On this Wednesday morning, high pressure is slowly moving westward and is currently located over the border of Arizona and New Mexico. It will be directly over the state Thursday into Friday before centering itself just northwest of the state later this weekend into the first part of next week.

As this pattern shift happens, the primary weather concern will be scorching temperatures, with highs rising back into the 101 to 105-degree range today through the weekend, with the hottest temperatures expected Friday and Saturday. As for storm chances, they will be isolated today through Friday, given high pressure being overhead. By this weekend, the chance for thunderstorms will increase with additional moisture and the high shifting northwest of the state.

Regarding air quality, PM-10 is forecast to be in the Good AQI category through the forecast period.

Have a great Wednesday!
