Forecast Discussion:

An active monsoon period will be in store for southeastern Arizona today (Friday), through the weekend, and into early next week. Daily thunderstorm chances will be in the forecast, along with more humid mornings. What happens from day to day can vary, depending on cloud cover left over from the previous day. Nevertheless, clouds, gusty winds, localized heavy rain, and lightning will be possible with any given thunderstorm.

In regards to PM10 (dust), brief dust will be possible with thunderstorm winds. This is reflected in the PM10 hourly forecast graphs. However, any rain will help to reduce airborne dust. PM10 is forecast in the Good AQI category each day.

Check back on Monday morning for the next forecast!
