Summary:

ADEQ is working on rules to update the current solid waste fees. ADEQ is also establishing solid waste fees for aspects of the program that the department has been overseeing that were not set when ADEQ changed to a fee-based model in 2012. The current rules can be found in Arizona Administrative Code, Title 18, Chapter 13, Solid Waste Management. New fees were authorized by House Bill 2367 which became effective on April 9, 2024.
