PUBLIC NOTICE | Probabilistic Risk Assessment Available for the Clifton Soil Program Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP) Site

ADEQ Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP) has received a Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) for the Clifton Soil Program (VRP Site Code 513293-00) VRP site located in the Town of Clifton, Arizona. The PRA was submitted in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes §§ 49-175 and 49-176.

Proposed remedial activities at the Clifton Soil Program VRP site will consist of soil testing and remediation on eligible residential and commercial properties located in proximity to three former historic smelters located within the Town of Clifton. The PRA uses proven methodologies and parameters commonly accepted by the scientific community to establish site-specific soil remediation levels for the contaminants of concern, which include arsenic, copper and lead.
