PUBLIC NOTICE | No Further Action Determination for the APS Prescott Manufactured Gas Plant Substation Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP) Site

Arizona Public Service Company (APS) has submitted a request for a No Further Action (NFA) determination to the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP) for the APS Prescott Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) Substation VRP site.  The NFA requests closure for soil and was submitted in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes § 49-181.

The APS Prescott MGP Substation VRP site consists of soils impacted by historic MGP operations located in Prescott, Arizona. Contaminants of concern at the site are a group of compounds commonly known as polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons.

A determination of NFA means that no further action shall be taken by ADEQ to remediate or require remediation of the site or portion of the site covered by the no further action determination, except in limited circumstances described in statute | View A.R.S. 49-181(E) >
