COMMENT PERIOD BEGINS | Renewal of AZPDES Permit AZ0026107 for the Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department

ADEQ proposes to issue an AZPDES renewal permit to discharge pollutants to Waters of the United States to the following applicant, subject to certain effluent limitations and special conditions:

Facility Information
Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up to 35.2 million gallons per day (mgd) of treated domestic wastewater from the Agua Nueva Wastewater Reclamation Facility to the Santa Cruz River in the Rio Magdalena – Rio Sonoyta River Basin in Township 13 S, Range 13 E, Section 21, in Pima County, Arizona. The Agua Nueva Wastewater Reclamation Facility is a publicly owned treatment works that receives domestic wastewater from residential, commercial, and industrial sources in Tucson. Sludge is removed at the headworks and disposed of at a state-approved facility.
