On Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, the comment period began for the Programmatic Agreement for the Maroon Crater Artillery Range Concentrated Munitions Use Area (CMUA) Munitions Response Site (MRS) located approximately 7 miles northeast of Flagstaff, Arizona in Coconino County. The MRS is on land managed by the U.S. Forest Service. The Army is the lead agency responsible for environmental investigations and cleanup activities of these sites under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act. ADEQ is a supporting agency in the decision making process. The comment period ends Jan. 8, 2021.
