On Dec. 7, 2022, the comment period begins for ADEQ Air Quality Division's draft State Operating Permit Program Revision. The comment period is extended to Feb. 10, 2023.

The draft revision is to update ADEQ Air Quality Division's state operating permit program with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under 40 CFR Part 70. ADEQ will request that EPA approve the program revision as a supplement to its existing program.
In 2001, ADEQ received full approval for its operating permit program.1 ADEQ has not revised its program since this 2001 approval. This program revision does not make any new rules or impose additional requirements. Rather, this program revision seeks to update the rules approved by EPA’s 2001 final rule with ADEQ’s current rules.
