PUBLIC NOTICE | Proposal to Issue an Air Quality Control Renewal Permit to BHP Copper Inc.
ADEQ proposes to issue Air Quality Control Renewal Permit Number 87750 to BHP Copper Inc. for the continued operation of a solvent extraction and electrowinning facility located in Miami, Arizona. The facility is subject to the requirements of the Federal Clean Air Act, Code of Federal Regulations, Arizona Revised Statute 49-426, and the Arizona Administrative Code, Title 18, Chapter 2. The facility emits the following air contaminants: particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter equal to or less than 10 microns (PM10), particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter equal to or less than 2.5 microns (PM2.5), nitrogen oxides (NOX), carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4) mist.
