PUBLIC NOTICE | Highway 260 and Main Street WQARF Site Draft Remedial Investigation Report

ADEQ has released the draft Remedial Investigation report for Highway 260 and Main Street Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund site (Site) in Cottonwood, Arizona.1 The Remedial Investigation identifies the nature, extent and source(s) of the site’s contamination; current and potential impacts to public health and the environment; current and reasonably foreseeable land and water uses at the site; and evaluates other information necessary for identification and comparison of alternative remedial actions.

Site Information

The Highway 260 and Main Street WQARF site consists of two areas of groundwater contamination and is bounded by Mingus Avenue to the north, Mongini Lane to the south, The Verde River to the east, and South 15th Street, South Main Street and Highway 260 to the west in Cottonwood. 

The site’s contaminants of concern are tetrachloroethene (PCE) and trichloroethene (TCE).
