Arizona regulations1 allow case closure on leaking UST sites with groundwater contamination at levels above the Arizona Aquifer Water Quality Standards (AWQS) or Tier 1 Corrective Action Standards if it can be demonstrated that there is no exposure risk to public health and any remaining contamination is attenuating. ADEQ evaluated site-specific conditions and analytical data provided for this site. Based on this review, ADEQ has determined that the case meets the regulatory requirements for closure.
