ADEQ proposes to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) renewal permit to discharge pollutants to Waters of the United States to the following applicant, subject to certain effluent limitations and special conditions:

The City of Peoria applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up to 10 million gallons per day (mgd) of treated domestic wastewater from the Butler Drive Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) to the New River in the Middle Gila River Basin in Township 3 N, Range 1 E, Section 32, in Maricopa County, Arizona. The Butler Drive WRF is a publicly owned treatment works that receives domestic wastewater from residential and commercial sources in Peoria. Sludge is decanted and sent to centrifuges to be thickened for landfill disposal.
