PUBLIC NOTICE | Proposed Amendments to Arizona Air Quality Rules
ADEQ proposes new rule amendments to the Arizona Administrative Code (AAC) to comply with the following updated federal regulations finalized by EPA on June 30, 2017:
- New Source Performance Standards (NSPS)
- National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP)
ADEQ proposes to incorporate these federal updates into State rules in order to maintain its delegated authority from EPA to implement and enforce NSPS and NESHAP in Arizona, except for those specific authorities retained by EPA. ADEQ proposes to submit a letter to EPA requesting incorporations by reference of these regulations into the Arizona State Implementation Plan (SIP), and welcomes public comment.
