Wildfire Smoke Forecast

Pipeline Fire

Overview

Firefighters continue to make excellent progress on both the Pipeline and Haywire Fires. Overnight, the Pipeline Fire was mapped at 26,528 acres, with the Haywire at 5,575 acres.

Smoke Synopsis

Note: This will be the last smoke forecast for the Pipeline and Haywire Fires unless conditions change.

Smoke production was light yesterday, with smoke moving toward the northeast. We are expecting similar conditions today as pockets (especially near O'Leary Peak continue to burn). Light smoke impacts will be possible across the Navajo and Hopi reservations.

Overnight, some light smoke/haze may drain into the Timberline and Doney Park area, but impacts are expected to be light.

Moisture will be back on the rise, as will be storm chances starting tomorrow.
