ADEQ proposes to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) permit renewal to discharge pollutants to Waters of the United States to the following applicant, subject to certain effluent limitations and special conditions:

Facility Information

Pinewood Sanitary District applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up to 0.6 million gallons per day (mgd) of treated domestic wastewater from the Kay S. Blackman Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to Munds Creek, tributary to Oak Creek in the Verde River Basin in Township 18 N, Range 7 E, Section 22, in Coconino County, Arizona. The Kay S. Blackman WWTP is a privately owned treatment works that receives domestic wastewater from residential and commercial sources in Munds Park. Sludge is dewatered utilizing a belt press and disposed of at Painted Desert Landfill in Joseph City.
