ADEQ proposes to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) renewal permit to discharge pollutants to Waters of the United States to the following applicant, subject to certain effluent limitations and special conditions:

Facility Information

Freeport-McMoRan Miami, Inc., Pinal Creek Project applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up to 9.36 million gallons per day (mgd) of treated groundwater from the Lower Pinal Creek Water Treatment Plant (LPCWTP) to Pinal Creek, tributary to the Salt River in the Salt River Basin in Township 2 N, Range 15 E, Section 18, in Gila County, Arizona. The LPCWTP is operated as a remedial action at the Pinal Creek Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF) site.
