[Wpdfees-s] WPD Stakeholder Meetings on June 30, 2011

[ADEQ Waste Programs Division Solid Waste Fees]

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) is currently
drafting rules that will implement fees beginning July 1, 2012 to make
the Solid Waste and Hazardous Waste Programs self-sufficient.  The rules
will implement House Bill 2705 from the recent legislative session (50th
Legislature; 1st Regular Session; 2011; Chapter 220).  To view HB 2705,

ADEQ will hold public stakeholder meetings to present draft rule
language on June 30, 2011.  There will be two separate meetings held at
1110 W. Washington Street in Phoenix; one for Solid Waste Fees (9:00 to
10:30 a.m.) and another for Hazardous Waste Fees (10:45 a.m. to 12:15
p.m.).  RSVPs to wpdfees@azdeq.gov are requested to allow for adequate
seating.  There is free parking in the garage on the first and fifth
floors, as well as several surrounding streets; some streets have
metered parking.

 

For your information, we have attached draft fee summaries for hazardous
waste and solid waste fees.  If you have comments or questions prior to
the 30th, please send them to wpdfees@azdeq.gov
