WHO: Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, Coconino National
Forest
WHAT: ADEQ Director Benjamin H. Grumbles and officials from Coconino
National Forest will announce the details of a Water Quality Improvement
Grant that ADEQ is awarding to the U.S. Forest Service to help protect
Fossil Creek, one of the most beautiful of Arizona's waterways. The
announcement will be made during a media tour of the creek and other
issues surrounding oversight of the creek also will be discussed.
WHEN: 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 14
WHERE: Media should meet in the parking lot near the front door of the
Bashas supermarket, 650 w. Finnie Flats Road (Highway 260) in Camp Verde
at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Transportation to the Fossil Creek site will be
provided. Bring your sun screen and we'll bring the water!
