ADEQ Director Owens Announces Recycling Grants for 22 Arizona Little
League Programs

PHOENIX (March 25, 2008) - Arizona Department of Environmental Quality
Director Steve Owens announced today that ADEQ has awarded 22 grants
totaling $11,000 to Little League baseball programs in 10 Arizona
counties as part of the agency's Little League Recycling and Litter
Control project.

The grants provide money for banners promoting recycling displayed at
baseball fields and for recycling containers to be placed at the fields.

ADEQ's Little League Recycling grant program is now in its fifth year,
with grants awarded to Little League programs throughout the state for
recycling and litter clean up.

"This program has been incredibly successful," Director Owens said.
