ADEQ Director Owens to Hold 2 p.m. Thursday Press Conference About
$582,253 in Grants to Prescott Creeks Preservation Association

WHO: 	ADEQ Director Steve Owens and Prescott Creeks Preservation
Association

WHAT: 	Announcement of $582,253 in grants to fund water quality
improvement projects in Prescott area

WHEN:	2 p.m., Thursday, June 21

WHERE:  	119 Grove Avenue, Prescott

WHY:		The Prescott Creeks Preservation Association has been
very active in protecting the 126-acre Watson Woods Riparian Preserve,
which is all that remains of a 1,000-acre stretch of unbroken forest.
The grants also will fund the planting of vegetation, creation of
wetlands and stabilization of channels to reduce erosion and redirect
and filter stormwater runoff into Granite Creek, which flows into the
preserve.
