Health message for Friday, March 11: Unusually sensitive people should consider limiting prolonged exertion outdoors.

Synopsis and Discussion:
A strong ridge of high pressure will push Valley temperatures into the mid 80s Thursday and Friday. A slight "cool down" is expected Saturday and Sunday where temps will only be in the low 80s. Afternoon winds will generally be light with a few breezes near 10 mph are expected Saturday and Sunday. Otherwise, the picture perfect weather will continue through next week where temps will push 90°F by next Thursday and Friday.
Air quality here in the Phoenix forecast area was GOOD again on Wednesday. The slow increase in particulates continues with Durango possibly touching the lower MODERATE range the next couple of days. Likewise, we could see one or two ozone monitors in the far north part of Maricopa County (near Humboldt Mountain) reach the lower MODERATE range today through the weekend. However, no major health concerns are anticipated.

Check back tomorrow any changes to the weekend's weather and air quality. Until then, have a good day! -J.Paul
