Synopsis and Discussion
High pressure building to our southeast and a stiff southwest or northeast flow will keep local ozone concentration down somewhat. The highest levels (mainly in the low to mid "Moderate" range) should continue to be in the north and east part of the Phoenix forecast area through the much of next week with little to no pooling of ozone and precursors in the Valley itself.

It appears that a shift in the flow will start to take place in the next 10 to 14 days. Winds will turn more out of the south and southeast, increasing moisture across Arizona. However, models are suggesting that thunderstorm activity will remain to the south and east of the state through the first couple of days in July. The added moisture will keep particulates down, so we don't anticipate any major issues with PM10 or PM2.5 for at least the next 2 weeks.

Check back tomorrow for the latest weekend outlook. Until then, have a good day! -J.Paul
