Health message for Thursday, August 12: Unusually sensitive people should consider limiting prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors.

Health message for Friday, August 13: Unusually sensitive people should consider limiting prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors.

Synopsis and Discussion:
Air quality continues to be fairly good across the Phoenix forecast area. All pollutants, including ozone, were in the GOOD range of the Air Quality Index (AQI) on Wednesday. Thursday's morning concentrations are similar to those 24 hours earlier. In fact, the forecast doesn't indicate much change in local air quality the next several days.

Afternoon desert temperatures will climb back above 110°F Saturday through Monday. As high pressure moves west and northwest this weekend, the moisture track will pull moisture north from Mexico. Thunderstorms will be back in the forecast by Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Look for ozone and PM10 levels to continue to remain mostly in the GOOD range through early next week.

Check back tomorrow for the latest on the weekend's weather and air quality. Until then, have a good day! -J.Paul
