Synopsis and Discussion

Lots of moisture shed from once Hurricane now Tropical Storm soon to be Tropical Depression Jimana will move northward over AZ the next few days. This will be acted upon by daytime heating and occasional upper level disturbances to produce scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms. With so much cloud cover expected, ozone production is expected to be quite restrained with highest AQI readings in the low to mid-moderate range. However, there will be an ongoing threat of dense blowing dust generated by outflow boundaries from the aforementioned convective activity - especially on Friday.
