Synopsis and Discussion
High pressure will return in a big way this weekend, replacing the unseasonably cool 60s with low to mid 80s. This will make for great trick-or-treat weather with temps in the Phoenix forecast area dropping into the upper 70s by about 6pm on Saturday. This ridge will continue to strengthen through next Tuesday and Wednesday where highs could top out at 90°F once again.
PM-10 concentrations along the Salt River have been steadily increasing since dropping into the middle part of the Good range on Wednesday. It's possible that concentrations may reach the low Moderate range on Friday. Decreased operational activity near those sites this weekend should allow levels to drop off a bit, rebounding once again to the lower Moderate category by Monday.
Check back on Sunday for the latest on your coming work-week's weather and air quality. Until then, have safe Halloween and a great rest of the weekend! -J.Paul
