Synopsis and Discussion
Friday morning PM-10 concentrations are up in many areas and down in a couple compared to 24 hours earlier. With daily maximum levels reaching the lower "Moderate" range at four local sites on Thursday, it's a safe bet that those same locations with as well as several others will return to that category Friday. In fact, little change is expected this weekend weather-wise with afternoon temps in the upper 80s to around 90°F and modest morning inversions. Therefore, depending on the primary source (typically along the Salt River in south Phoenix), these concentrations may linger through early next week. It's possible they could also relax into the upper "Good" range provided the source contributors hold off on activities a day or two.

No wind or rain-producing systems are expected until at least next Wednesday or Thursday of next week (more likely wind than rain). This suggests low to mid "Moderate" particulate readings could continue until then. Ozone is not expected to climb any higher than the mid to upper "Good" range for some time to come.
Sunday's forecast will have more on a potential mid-week weather disturbance. Until then, enjoy your weekend!
