Synopsis and Discussion
The wind-producing area of low pressure has now moved east of the region allowing the high pressure from the west to regain influence over our weather. Afternoon desert temperatures will be in the upper 80s to around 90°F through the coming weekend under partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies and relatively light winds. A general flow from the north and northwest will keep maximum ozone concentrations confined to the eastern part of the forecast area. Much lower PM-10 concentrations this morning compared to 24 hours ago strongly indicates highest daily averages across the network will be in the "Good" range Wednesday. Weak morning inversions the next several days will have little effect on particulates as the surface heating will allow for vertical mixing and dispersion of the temporarily trapped pollutants. As a result, the Valley's air quality should be in the "Good" range through at least Friday.

Check back tomorrow for the latest. Until then, have a good day!
