Synopsis and Discussion
Great weather continues this weak as high pressure strengthens over the region. A few clouds are drifting through the sky Tuesday morning. Local desert temperatures may reach 90°F later this afternoon, but the real warm-up is expected Thursday through Saturday. Highs on Friday and Saturday may top 100°F at a few of the Valley's hotter locations, threatening some records (Friday's record: 101, set back in 1990; Saturday's record: 100, set in 2003). No rain is expected until at least next Monday, if that.

Air quality fell nicely into the "Good" range on Monday. Increasingly drier conditions will likely lead to PM-10 concentrations breaking back into the lower "Moderate" range. Light winds and very warm temperatures may assist ozone in reaching the low end of that category by Thursday or Friday. Otherwise, little change is expected this week.

Check back tomorrow for the latest. Until then, have a good day!
