Synopsis and Discussion
Gorgeous weather is in store this weekend for the Phoenix forecast area
as high pressure settles in. Mostly light winds, sunny skies, and near
normal temperatures are expected through early next week. In fact,
models are indicating that the high pressure system will strengthen a
bit further by next Wednesday and Thursday, leading to desert
temperatures in the mid 90s. No rain is expected for at least the next
7 days.

Air quality was once again in the "Good" range for all forecast
pollutants on Thursday. Little change is expected the next several
days. Lack of moisture could lead to PM-10 concentrations reaching the
lower "Moderate" range by Monday, but increasing mixing heights and
better upper-level dispersion will keep surface accumulations from
approaching any health standards.

Check back Sunday for the latest on the coming work-week's weather and
air quality. Until then, have a great weekend!
