Synopsis and Discussion

High pressure will move over the region Thursday, holding its ground through early next week. This means that afternoon desert temperatures will rebound from the low to mid 80s Wednesday and Thursday, to near 90°F by Friday. Mostly light winds will be the rule under sunny skies. While morning inversions will exist, increasing temperatures should weaken the effects. As a result, particulate concentrations should stay mostly in the upper "Good" range. Ozone levels will also be in the upper part of the "Good" category the next several days, which is normal for this time of year.
