Synopsis and Discussion
Well look at that... all pollutants back in the "Good" range! Thanks
to some more afternoon breezes to mix up the lower atmosphere, both
PM-10 and PM-2.5 dropped off a bit on Thursday. West 43rd was still
close to the "Moderate" category. Lighter winds are expected this
weekend as the ridge of high pressure strengthens. Afternoon desert
temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80s through Monday with no rain
in sight. This will allow the surface to continue to dry out. We'll
keep the forecasted PM-10 concentrations in the lower "Moderate" range
through the weekend. We'll also be watching ozone as it continues to
slowly creep towards that category with the increased sun angle,
duration, and temperatures. Overall, it's going to be another great
weekend weather-wise! Be sure to check back on Sunday for the latest.
