Synopsis and Discussion
Little change in the weather and air quality is expected through the
weekend. Afternoon desert temperatures will comfortably reach the lower
80s Thursday and Friday, increasing to the mid 80s on Saturday and
Sunday as high pressure strengthens. Winds will be a bit lighter
Thursday through Sunday than they were Wednesday afternoon as a result
of the stronger ridge. It was those breezes Wednesday afternoon that
helped lower the particulate levels a bit through increased mixing.
With the expected lighter winds the next several days, both PM-10 and
PM-2.5 should edge higher into the low "Moderate" range. Check back
tomorrow for a look at the weekend weather and air quality. Until then,
have a good day!
