Synopsis and Discussion
The approaching trough of low pressure could send some high level
clouds across Arizona on Friday, announcing its pending arrival this
weekend. What will it mean for our area? Temperatures will drop about
10 degrees by early next week, with afternoon high in the Phoenix
forecast area topping out in the low 80s. Otherwise, not much else is
expected. Surface winds will continue to be mostly light, shifting out
of the southwest this weekend. There is a slight possibility of some
moisture in the mountains of northern Arizona late Friday and again on
Sunday and Monday. Here in the deserts, however, we'll be pretty dry.
Particulates continue to be in the low "Moderate" range across the
Valley. This should continue through the weekend, maybe improving
slightly by Sunday with the light west to east movement of the air mass.
Check back tomorrow for a look at your Halloween forecast as well as the
coming weekend's weather and air quality. Until then, have a good day!
