Synopsis and Discussion
High pressure will begin to slip south the next several days as a
trough of low pressure approaches the region from the west. Afternoon
desert temperatures will drop a bit the next few days to the low 90s.
Winds are still expected to be fairly light through Friday, turning out
of the west on Saturday as the trough gets closer. Much cooler
temperatures are expected early next week, with highs in the Phoenix
forecast area only reaching the low 80s.
Visibility has improved significantly since Monday's dust event.
Particulates have as well, with the highest levels in the lower
"Moderate" category. They should remain there through the rest of the
week and possibly into the weekend. There's still nothing to suggest
windy conditions this weekend with the approaching trough. So for now
we don't expect another wide-spread wind-driven dust event for at least
the next ten days. Check back tomorrow for more. Have a good day!
