Health message for Friday, October 17: Unusually sensitive people should
consider reducing prolonged or heavy exertion.

Synopsis and Discussion
High pressure will continue to bring very warm temperatures to the
Valley of Sun. Afternoon desert temps will be in the mid to upper 90s
through Sunday. We won't break that psychological triple digit mark,
but it will be close in many Valley locations on Saturday. A weak
upper-level disturbance may push through the region early next weak.
This will increase moisture slightly, resulting in a few clouds. It
will also drop temperatures a bit, but only to the lower 90s. This will
still be 7-10 degrees above normal.
Not much change is expected the next several days air quality-wise.
Particulates will continue to climb into the mid "Moderate" range while
ozone will remain in the upper "Good" category. Keep checking back
daily for the latest. Have a good day! -J.Paul
