Synopsis and Discussion

There's a little more continuity with the model runs this time. Now
both the 00Z (5pm) and 12Z (5am) runs are showing a good chance for rain
either late Wednesday or early Thursday. Some may not want rain on
Thanksgiving Day, but if it doesn't happen, recent history shows that we
are looking at a likely bad air day. It would be nice not to have a
Health Watch or HPA on Thanksgiving here in the Valley!

Until then, we still have this strong ridge of high pressure to contend
with. Afternoon desert temperatures will be in the low 80s through
Monday with continued light winds. We still haven't seen the
Particulate levels threaten the health standard. If it hasn't happened
by now, it's unlikely to happen over the weekend with the lack of
work-week commuter traffic. We'll be waiting on next week's change in
the weather pattern to clear out the air for the upcoming Holiday.
Check back on Sunday for more. Until then, have a great weekend!
