Synopsis and Discussion
*AN OZONE HEALTH WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR TODAY, TUESDAY, MAY 27,
2008*
It didn't take long for ground-level ozone concentrations to return to
the "Moderate" range. As high pressure continues to build from the
south, the flow will be out of the south and southwest. Winds, however,
will be fairly light over the next several days, so most of the ozone
that accumulates will be local. Particulates are in the "Good" range
thanks to last week's rain. As the Valley dries out, particulate levels
will slowly climb towards that "Moderate" range. It could be another
couple of days before we see those levels. An Ozone Health Watch
remains in effect for today, Tuesday, and concentrations could continue
to increase across the forecast area this week. This means that further
Health Statements are possible by Thursday or Friday of this week.
Check back daily for the latest. Have a good day!
