Synopsis and Discussion
Sunday looks to be a bit breezy across the Phoenix forecast area, with
some gusts approaching 30 mph at times. It's now been over a month
since our last measurable rainfall, and the ground has become fairly
parched. It won't take much to get that dust up in the air. With the
winds on Sunday, we can expect many areas of blowing dust across the
deserts. Particulate levels will likely be in the mid to upper
"Moderate" range, dropping off a bit early next week as the disturbance
kicks east of the region. Ozone will also drop off slightly on Sunday
as the winds make it hard for the precursors to set up long enough to
form the colorless, odorless gas. Afternoon desert temperatures will be
in the low to mid 80s Sunday and Monday, warming slightly by next
Tuesday as lighter winds under high pressure prevail. Check back on
Sunday for more. Have a great weekend! -J.Paul
